Wow, have we ever been busy. I haven't posted for almost 20 days. We had quite a few games between then and now. this past weekend we were at home for a Squirt Tournament. Parker's team played ok, but not their usually. They won their first game, lost the second and tied the third game we played that day (Sat.). Well, another team won which meant we were going to the Championship round. We played against the same team, Glen Avon, that tied us the night before. It was an amazing game. They came out charging and were up by 3 goals at one point, but the other team battled back. we scored again to give us a little more breathing room, but we were never able to really relax. The other team pulled their goalie and scored coming within one point to tie it up. We were up 5-4. With a little over a minute to play the face off was in the other teams zone...Parker got the puck, then the other team's guy took it, tripped and Parker got it back...he quickly went to the side boards with the puck and kept it until the time ran out. We won...but wow, what a game. they other team played amazing and we both had tremendous goalies.
It was a good weekend, with a lot of fun and a lot of hockey. They played four games in two days. Needless to say, Parker is sleeping well.
